Flyers forward Cam Atkinson struggled immensely this season and as he approaches the final year of his contract, it looks like GM Daniel Briere will be looking to find him a new home.

Atkinson was a healthy scratch 12 times this season and was not able to record a single point in the Flyers last 23 games of the season.

The 34 year-old commented on his disappointing year saying he knows the player he is and that he still feels as though he has a lot left to give.

«It's unlike any situation I've ever been in in my career,» Atkinson said of his season with the Flyers. «I have one more year left on my contract. I know the player I am. I'll never lose sight in who I am and what has made me the player I am today, and what's gotten me to this level.

«I still feel like I have a lot of juice left in the tank, for the right situation.»- Atkinson

As Briere has stated he is looking to surround the core with younger players, it is almost a guarantee he will look to move Atkinson this off-season.
