Breaking: Patrick Roy is Back in the NHL with Flyer Division Rival!
Huge news out of New York as Patrick Roy is returning behind the bench for the New York Islanders!
BREAKING: The #Isles have fired Lane Lambert. Patrick Roy is his replacement.
Lambert has been the head coach of the Islanders since May of 2022. In 2022-2023 he had a 42-31-9 record for 93 points. The Islanders finish that season 4th in the Metro Division and a wild card spot in the playoffs. They then were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.
Roy has previously coached in the NHL for the Colorado Avalanche from 2013-2016.
