The Flyers lost Friday night to the Buffalo Sabres but during the 2nd period, there was a missed call that sent Joel Farabee to the locker room. With a little more than two minutes left in the 2nd period, Farabee was hit in the face with a stick and blood was dripping onto the ice as he left the rink and went down the tunnel.
Joel Farabee is pissed and up the tunnel again.
He got whacked in the face with a Buffalo stick and skated off dripping blood on the ice. No call.

Farabee, did return to the ice later in the game, so it does not appear to be a serious injury. The non call was huge, as at the time, the Flyers were trailing 2-1, but what made it worse, the Sabres scored with 5 seconds remaining in the 2nd period. If the call was made there, it would have been a double minor and the Flyers would have been on the power play, for the remainder of the period and into the 3rd, if the Flyers do not score. For this reason, there was a very good chance, that at worst the Flyers would have been trailing 2-1 entering the 3rd period. Now, the refs shouldn't be the blame for the loss, as we all know they Flyers have been struggling as of late. However, that is a call that needs to be made as not only did the Flyers did not get a double minor, like they should have, but it sent one of their top forwards to the locker room.
