It's not a secret that Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid is one of, if not the best player in all of hockey this season. From his 77 points in just 47 games thus far in 2023-24 to winning the 2024 NHL Skills Competition, McDavid is skating at an elite level. Tuesday night was another historic night for McDavid as he begins to etch his name among NHL lure.

Tuesday night seemed effortless for Connor McDavid against the Detroit Red Wings as McDavid had a six point night, notching six assists in the Oilers 8-4 win. McDavid became one of the fastest players to reach 60 career assists and has 9 assists in his last three games.

With McDavid having another historic night and reaching over 600 career assists, the question must be asked; does McDavid have a chance to become one of the NHL's 'goats'?

"With his performance tonight McDavid became the fourth fastest player to collect 600 career assists - it took him 616 games. The only players who have done it faster are Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux and Bobby Orr. He's truly one of the greats."

After his six point showing on Tuesday night, McDavid's teammates spoke highly about the All-Star, emphasizing his dedication to practice and mental focus while on the ice.

Could McDavid reach 100 points this season?
