Sam Ersson is having an impressive rookie season

The Flyers have a few rookies who are having impressive seasons and one of them is their goaltender, Sam Ersson. Sam Ersson's win over the New York Rangers was his 22nd of the season and he is now tied among NHL rookie goaltenders for wins on the season per Michael Reaves .

Sam Ersson 22 wins on the season, ranks 6th all time among Flyer's rookie goaltenders. If you include last year, he now has 28 career wins. Sam Ersson started off a little shaky, but really improve his play during the season and him and Carter Hart was a really good goalie tandem. However, with Carter Hart going on leave, it was clear Sam Ersson got tired down the stretch as he was playing almost every night. We did see some great signs of Sam Ersson and his potential, so we should expect that he will get even better in the years to come.
