The Philadelphia Flyers will play the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday night in Philadelphia. Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe has announced that Ilya Samsonov will start in net on Thursday night.
For the year, Ilya Samsonov has a record of 17-5-6 with a 3.10 GAA and a .887 save percentage. These are not outstanding numbers, however in his past 3 starts, he is 3-0-0 with a .934 save percentage. This is a huge game for the Flyers as they are hanging on to a playoff spot and the schedule for the Flyers will test them down the stretch.
