Against the New Jersey Devils, Andrae has displayed both defensive responsibility and the ability to quarterback a power play. In case of an injury, Andrae should be able to slot into the lineup if he is not on the opening night roster.

Due to the Flyers' deep forward core, Bobby Brink seemed like an afterthought before the preseason. Brink, however, has made an argument for his relevance, scoring three points in three preseason games. In terms of offensive identity, Brink has demonstrated that he can contribute to the team's overall identity. The battle for a spot may be between Brink and forwards such as Garnet Hathway or Nic Deslauriers.

Last but not least, Egor Zamula was one of the best players for the Flyers in preseason, especially against the Boston Bruins. In their matchup against the Boston Bruins, Sanheim and Zamula were impressive.



With his new physique, Zamula changed his game during the off-season.

Despite the future defensive woes, Zamula could be a shoo-in for a defensive position soon as the team faces healthy competition for positions on the roster.
