Brad Marchand just received the worst news of his career

Bruins forward Brad Marchand just received awful news regarding his health.

According to Ty Anderson via Twitter, there seems to be some slight surprise with Brad Marchand potentially needing some sort of hip procedure.





Marchand, 34, was most recently eliminated from the playoffs in game 7 by the Carolina Hurricanes. Assuming he had this lingering issue throughout the playoffs and late season, his 11 playoff points in 7 games is very impressive.

In the regular season, Marchand played 70 out of 82 games. Earlier this year, Brad Marchand received a 6 game ban for punching and high sticking Penguins goalie Tristan Jarry.


Marchand may miss significant time this offseason but nothing is confirmed as of yet. The Bruins have not commented further.
