Caulfield's impressive performance shone through, catching the attention of the rebuilding Philadelphia Flyers.

The Flyers, led by Danny Briere, are reportedly interested in Caulfield's services. If the compensation for his transfer exceeds $10 million AAV, the Habs would be entitled to four first-round picks.
Speculations suggest that the Flyers might offer $63 million at $9 million AAV over seven years. However, there has been no official confirmation from either team.
Caulfield, who scored 84 points last season, has not yet been involved in any contract negotiations and may end up as an RFA, depending on the outcome.
It remains to be seen if the Habs will match the Flyers' offer. In the meantime, Gorton and Hughes continue to work towards retaining Caulfield..
