Danny Briere just received approval from Bettman to change the teams look
In order to contrast the jerseys, they changed how a team can use their helmets, making helmets and uniforms pop even more.
A team can switch up its helmets to contrast its jerseys, unlike in previous NHL seasons.
Flyers GM Danny Briere now has some flexibility in choosing the team's uniforms and helmets.
They can switch up their helmets as long as they do not contrast the opposing team. The team has three jersey options available to Briere and the team so they can make decisions regarding how the team will look.
This week, NHL GMs approved the use of helmets that contrast with jerseys, as long as they do not contrast with the opposing team.
There will be 281 NHL games affected by this change during the 2023-2024 season.
