Farabee's rough year: to blame on neck surgery?
BY JOSHUA MAY 26, 2023 (0:49)
Despite participating in training camp and playing in all 82 games of the season, he struggled to perform at his best.
He managed to score 15 goals and 39 points overall throughout the season, but he admitted that he didn't feel like himself until the end of the season. The lack of recovery time after his surgery may have contributed to his difficulties.
However, toward the end of the season, Farabee played more significant minutes and scored 6 goals and 12 points, ranking 3rd behind Owen Tippett and Morgan Frost.
On March 27th, he had a great game against the Buffalo Sabres, breaking a 26-game drought by netting a goal and even assisting Tyson Foerster in getting his first NHL point.
Despite his struggles, Farabee has the potential to break Claude Giroux's records, as Giroux himself acknowledged. With a rebuild on the horizon, Farabee has the opportunity to take a leap forward and build on his growth at the end of last season.
