When it comes to former Philadelphia Flyers that were loved by the fans, Scott Hartnell has to definitely fit in that category.

Spending 7 season's in Philadelphia, including being part of the 2010 Stanley Cup final club Hartnell knows how to win. Hartnell was on the NHL Network and was asked?

"What is your assessment of the current Flyers Roster, and what do you think they need to do to become Stanley Cup contenders again?

Hartnell would say:
they got some some guys out of the lineup right number one Sean Couturier one of their best forwards Selke winner he's missed the whole year. Cam Atkinson has missed most of the year a 35-40 goal scorer you know 60 to 70 point player. Travis Konecny has been good and Owen Tippet they got for Claude Giroux he's had a heck of a year. I like their defence as well you got Provorov and Cam York he's finding his way around the League Tony DeAngelo who can move the puck as well, So I wouldn't say there set up for a playoff run or have a good 5-6-7 years, but I think this could be a team that could surprise some people if they get Couturier, and Atkinson back at 100% and they have a good goaltender too in Carter Hart he stop the puck he can play a lot of minutes as well this guy I think this year is a write off I believe but going forward they got some key pieces and a good foundation.

It's true, injures have played a part but the Flyers are definitely going to need to make some more moves if they want to contend for the Stanley Cup as they are missing 2-3 top guys to make that happen.

Here's the compete segment of Scott Hartnell discussing the Flyers.
