Tonight, the Philadelphia Flyers will be taking on the Florida Panthers in what promises to be an exciting matchup. One particular player to keep an eye on will be the Panthers' starting goalie, Alex Lyon. Lyon, who was previously a member of the Flyers organization, will be facing off against his former team for the first time since leaving.

Lyon spent four seasons in the Flyers' system, primarily playing for their AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. During his time with the organization, Lyon made several appearances for the Flyers at the NHL level, serving as a backup goalie.

Now, Lyon has found himself with the Panthers, where he has been primarily serving as the team's third-string goalie. However, due to injuries to their other goalies, Lyon has been given the opportunity to start against his former team tonight.

The Flyers will undoubtedly be looking to test Lyon early and often, but Lyon will be motivated to prove himself against his former team. It should make for an interesting storyline to follow throughout the game.
