The WHL has suspended a former NHL coach pending an investigation.

Wenatch Wild coach Kevin Constantine was involved in a WHL complaint about the coach's misconduct.

The Western Hockey League announced today, Kevin Constantine, Head Coach of the Wenatchee Wild, has been suspended pending an independent investigation into alleged violations of WHL Regulations and Policies.

It will be prohibited for Constantine to contact players or other members of the Wenatchee Wild organization during the investigation.

He coached the New Jersey Devils, the San Jose Sharks, and the Pittsburgh Penguins during his NHL coaching career.

From 1997 to 2000, he coached the Penguins but was replaced by Herb Brooks shortly thereafter.

Former #NHL head coach Kevin Constantine has been suspended after a complaint has been filed about his conduct as coach of the WHL's Wenatchee Wild.

He has coached in Korea and Hungary as well, proving he never lacks job opportunities, even when they require him to go overseas.

A player complaint caused the WHL to suspend him before he returned to coach the Wenatchee Wild in the WHL.
