The remark implied that the Coyotes, a team that Cassidy perceived as lesser, would not be able to win with such numbers. «We had 24 giveaways," Cassidy said after Game 5. "I'm not sure you're beating the Arizona Coyotes in January with 24 giveaways. That's no disrespect to Arizona, but it's not the right way to play.»
After facing criticism for his disrespectful remarks, Cassidy issued an apology, acknowledging that his comment was unfair and admitting that it was a mistake to involve another team in the discussion.
But now, Cassidy regrets the remark and apologized.
