Kevin Hayes' Trending Over Controversial Opinion

In an interview with Keith Yandle last night for Bleacher Report Open Ice, Kevin Hayes revealed his NHL G.O.A.T. The answer to the question has raised some eyebrows and stirred up a spirited debate on who the greatest of all time actually is.

Hayes stated that he doesn't think anybody will ever be as good as Connor McDavid. Hayes thinks that the league is headed in the right direction talent wise with all of these young skilled players coming up. Everyone is in shape, skates fast, and is more skilled than the previous generation.

Hayes went on the state, "I think McDavid is the best player to ever play, no disrespect to Wayne... nobody will ever have the same skillset as him". What McDavid is able to do on a nightly basis and his ability to put up points in bunches truly makes him special. While McDavid may never touch Wayne's point or goal record, I think Hayes's point is valid. The league has changed a lot since Gretzky played and what McDavid does on the ice is one of a kind.
