NHL Official Reveals Ryan Reaves had a infuriating goodbye with the New York Rangers

Ryan Reaves was traded, as we said on Monday that there was speculation, it turned out to be accurate. Reaves's status as a healthy scratch for eight straight games caused significant concerns and advocated a trade.

8 games, indeed! After the Rangers lost 0-4 on November 3rd, the coaching staff felt they needed a new face and started seating Reaves in the press box for the next eight games, up to November 23rd.

Reaves' agent and he decided to look into possibilities inside the NHL because Reaves had missed 20 straight games.


Reaves determined that the Minnesota Wild was a good fit and confirmed this with the Rangers' management. He was then traded to the Rangers for a fifth-round draft pick.

But the trade is more complicated than we realize. 

Ryan Reaves' departure from the organization had a "sour" conclusion. 

Following his first healthy scratch by the Rangers on November 8 against the Los Angeles Kings, Reaves immediately informed his agent, Kevin Epp, that he desired a trade.

Reaves' treatment by the Rangers after two years in New York is regrettable; it is comparable to Marc-Andre Fleury's treatment by the Vegas Golden Knights, who neglected him as well and traded him. 

Reaves was traded by the Rangers for practically nothing, yet they still managed to clear $1.75 million in salary space.
