The Pittsburgh Penguins got a huge surprise Tuesday night, when it was revealed that Penguins defenceman Kris Letang was added back to the lineup after being on long-term injured reserve with a lower body injury since December 28th.

The 35-year-old Letang has had a difficult season, suffering a stroke in late November. His father passed away earlier this month, prompting the entire Penguins team to alter travel plans so that they could attend the funeral in Montreal.

Letang and the Penguins hosted the Florida Panthers and it didn't take long for Letang to make an impact, getting an assist on the Penguins 1st goal. Letang would then score his 1st goal of 2023 with a sweet deflection past former Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Alex Lyon.

This game was insane, Letang had 1 goal and 2 assists, and the teams went to overtime 6-6 that's when it was fitting to see Letang score the overtime winner to give the Penguins a 7-6 win and Letang had a 4 point night.

These are the moments you have to love as a hockey fan no matter what team you cheer for, good for Kris Letang glad to see him back on the ice.
