REPORT: NHL Superstar Out With Severe illness

According to George Richards and Blades of Steel, Panthers' star, Aleksander Barkov, is out for multiple games while he continues to deal with an illness.

The exact illness has not been announced, but it seems very likely that it could be the flu as it is that time of the year and some players have already fell victim to it.

Barkov is one of the better offensive players in the NHL and is most definitely a huge piece of the Panthers' offense. Without him, they have struggled, and it is obvious that the team is in dire need of their star.


Barkov currently has 18 points in 19 games and consistently averages over 1 point per game over the last few years.

What makes this situation worse for the Panthers, though, is that they are in deep trouble with their cap space. They have been unable to add a player to replace Barkov because their is no room to add the salary while Barkov is still on the payroll.
