Hockey fans in general and Montreal Canadiens fans are heartbroken by Carey Price's career ending. Price has lost time from the game owing to repeated knee injuries that required surgery, in addition to missing time to enroll in the NHL's Player Assistance Program, which is used by players suffering from addiction, mental health issues, or other causes.

According to Price's wife, the family has listed their Montreal home for sale and is relocating further out west to be closer to their relatives.

Price may be moving far away, but because he's loyal to the city of Montreal, he still intends to take part in Montreal-based organizations, fundraising initiatives, and other activities.

On February 18, Price will return to Montreal to meet and greet fans at a PeeWee hockey tournament. Along with Price, other guests include Chris Chelios, Denis Savard, Pierre Turgeon, Caroline Ouellette, Kim St-Pierre, and Caroline Labonte.

Price's choice to travel to Montreal for a PeeWee kids hockey tournament, despite his struggles with the sport, says a lot about the kind of man he is. On February 18, it's believed that he would say "goodbye" to Quebec, one last time.
