San Jose Sharks Defenceman Out Indefinitely

The NHL season is still over a month away and injures are already piling up. As the San Jose Sharks announced some pretty unfortunate news.

Sharks defenseman Nikolai Knyzho has suffered a serious and is expected to be out the first six months of the regular season. Knyzho suffered a torn Achilles, Knyzho has since undergone surgery to repair it. 


According to Sharks GM Mike Grier, Knyzho suffered the injury during off-ice training. Despite missing all of last season, the Sharks saw fit to bring him back on a one-year, $850,000 contract.
