The Flyers could be able to get the 2nd overall pick for this year's draft

Elliotte Friedman announced yesterday that the New Jersey Devils were prepared to trade their 2nd overall pick if they were to come across the right offer. They haven't made anything official yet, but the Devils General Manager said that they were "open to whatever help our team improve."

If that is the case, maybe the Flyers will make an offer in order to acquire the 2nd overall pick. Getting it would mean being able to sign a star instantly like Logan Cooley or Juraj Slafkosvky, which would be huge for Chuck Fletcher.

However, the Flyers don't have much to offer, and the New Jersey Devils are looking to reinforce their team with some NHL proven talent according to Thomas Fitzgerald: "If that is using a pick like that, wherever it may be, to help bring in a player that we know, and feel, will help impact the results that we are looking for, absolutely."
