The Flyers will have the opportunity to make a big splash at this year's Draft

The NHL Draft in July will certainly be extremely exciting for Flyers fans. With the 5th overall pick, Chuck Fletcher will have the opportunity to select an excellent player who will become a big part of the team in the future...

But there's also another option : trading that 5th overall pick. Lance Green, from Flyers Nitty Gritty, wrote an interesting piece on this and identified 3 teams with who the Flyers could agree to a deal that would include the 5th overall pick.

The first one are the Ottawa Senators. The trade is pretty simple : the Flyers send the 5th selection for the 7th, the 39th and another pick. Philadelphia doesn't have a 2nd round pick this year, as Ottawa possesses 2.

Green also named the Buffalo Sabres - who have 3 first round picks this year - and the Anaheim Ducks as potential trade partners for Chuck Fletcher at the Draft in Montreal.
