THE HOCKEY COMMUNITY HAS BEEN HIT WITH ANOTHER HEARTBREAKING LOSS: 5X CUP CHAMP PASSES AWAY

BY SKY
Barry Fraser, a five-time Stanley Cup winner, has sadly passed away at the age of 82. Fraser served as the head of scouting for the Edmonton Oilers from 1979 to 2000.

Barry brought in the most well-known people into the organization and may be one of the greatest scouts ever, thus the Oilers' tremendous success over a number of years would not have been achieved without him.

''He was responsible for a lot of Edmonton's dynasty being drafted, being a vocal part of the team drafting Mark Messier, Kevin Lowe, Glenn Anderson, Paul Coffey, Jari Kurri, Grant Fuhr, Andy Moog, Steve Smith, Esa Tikkanen, Jeff Beukeboom, Kelly Buchberger, Kirk Maltby, Jason Arnott, Miroslav Satan, Ryan Smyth, Fernando Pisani, Tom Poti, Shawn Horcoff & Jason Chimera.''

Rest in Peace. Barry Fraser, please accept our prayers and sympathies to the impacted family members.
