The Philadelphia Flyers Trim Their Rosters Again In Prep for The Regular Season
In addition to cutting more players from the roster, the team has released a few from the PTO and sent others back to Lehigh Valley.
Flyers training camp roster update:
Loaned to AHL Lehigh Valley: forward Elliot Desnoyers and defenseman Helge Grans
Released from PTO and assigned AHL training camp: forwards Jordy Bellerive and Jacob Gaucher
Loaned to AHL Lehigh Valley: forward Elliot Desnoyers and defenseman Helge Grans
Released from PTO and assigned AHL training camp: forwards Jordy Bellerive and Jacob Gaucher
Jacob Gaucher and Jordy Bellerive were released from their professional tryouts with the team. With Lehigh Valley's training camp just around the corner, they have a chance to make the Phantoms, so all is not lost.
As a final note, Helge Grans, along with Elliot Desnoyers have been sent down.
It was expected that the Flyers' youth movement would result in younger players competing for roster spots, but it appears Desnoyers was not NHL ready as Ian Lapierre predicted.
