Those Were The Days. Flyers Of The 70's!

I've been a fan of the Flyers ever since I can remember. Living only 20 minutes from Philly in South Jersey every team I rooted for was a Philadelphia team. To watch the Flyers back in the 70's to win the Stanley Cup 1974-75 still remember like it was yesterday.

What I remember was being in high school and hardly anyone was there cause they were in the Philly celebrating the championship. Some of those players I followed were like Bernie Parent, Bobby Clarke, and Dave Schultz. Those who played hockey for the love of the game.

We had great ownership of the team Ed Snider's emergence as a leader in the Philadelphia sports market started in 1964 as vice president with the Philadelphia Eagles. Two years later, he transformed sports in the City of Philadelphia when he mortgaged his home to establish a NHL franchise as the founder of the Philadelphia Flyers.

Philadelphia is a great sports city. We love our Philly teams. The Flyers are in a rebuilding mode. We should support them not criticize but cheer them on. That's just my thoughts but Flyers will come back.
