Tragic News Strikes That Brind'Amour Family
General Manager Don Waddell expressed deep sadness and praised Bob's remarkable qualities. Bob passed away surrounded by loved ones in Campbell River, BC.
«There isn't a person who met Bob who will ever forget him,» said Waddell. «Bob was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who lit up every room he entered with passion, humor and energy. He kept working as a pipe fitter in Campbell River well into Rod's NHL career and it's clear he passed that relentless work ethic down to his children.»
The Hurricanes organization mourns his loss, as he played an influential role in Rod's pursuit of a Stanley Cup. Our thoughts are with the Brind'Amour family and the Hurricanes during this difficult time.
