As the Philadelphia Flyers get closer and closer to creating a core roster of players they want to keep around for the near future, a fan-favorite defenseman is among the top of their list of priorities. Fast, physical, great on the penalty kill and a leader in the locker room sounds like a player that fits the philosophy of head coach John Tortorella.
Seeler is extremely smart and physical on the defensive end, great on the penalty kill, a leader in the locker room, and not afraid to mix it up and drop the gloves with opponents. Seeler has been a consistent force on the second and third line pairings on defense for the Flyers this season.
The most memorable moment from Seeler so far this season came on December 22 at Detroit. The Flyers found themselves in a 5-1 hole in the first period. When most teams would have packed it in, Nick Seeler gave the Flyers a spark with a big hit followed by dropping his gloves and landing a few blows to Nick Fischer.
