This morning, one club received awful news that has a significant impact on this year's NHL All-Star Game.

The NHL All-Star game is scheduled to take place on Friday, February 3rd, which is literally tomorrow. Although it looks that the Skills contests will take place on the third and the real game will be played on the fifth, we now have important news to share regarding a change to the lineup.

The NHL has chosen to replace Tage Thompson, who is now the second-best goal scorer in the league, with Rasmus Dahlin, Thompson's teammate. Thompson has endured an injury.

Dahlin has defied all expectations this year and has 55 total points among defenseman. Who has more? The 32-year-old defenseman Erik Karlsson, who hasn't showed any signs of slowing down.

The All-Star game will be intriguing to watch now with another defensemen in it, but what a last-minute announcement, wow.
