Flyers made a surprise signing last night

The Flyers signed forward Hayden Hodgson to an NHL contract for the remainder of the season.

Hodgson leads the Lehigh Valley Phantoms with 18 goals this season. We should see him at some point with the Flyers from here to the end of the campaign.

Of course, it's absolutely huge for him. He spent the majority of his career in the ECHL with six different teams since the 2017-18 season. According to Tony Androckitis, Hodgson is an "old school type Flyers player" who isn't afraid to throw hits. His shot is also one of his force.
