Erik Gustafsson, a former defenseman for the Chicago Blackhawks, has become a valuable addition to the Toronto Maple Leafs' lineup. Despite his limited ice time in the post-season, making only one appearance in game 6 against the Tampa Bay Lightning, Gustafsson's skill as a defenseman is evident.

Having recorded an impressive 42 points in 70 games played during the regular season, Gustafsson has proven his ability to contribute offensively. Additionally, due to rookie forward Matthew Knies' injury, Gustafsson has been granted the opportunity to play on the 2nd power-play unit. Jonas Siegel of The Athletic reported seeing Gustafsson leading the 2nd power-play unit during practice before game 3.

Now, it is crucial for Gustafsson to rise to the occasion and make a significant impact in the post-season, aiding the team's efforts to defeat the Florida Panthers.
