Andrew Brunette, a former assistant coach for the Florida Panthers and current assistant coach for the New Jersey Devils, has recently garnered attention, but not for the reasons that anybody wants to hear. Brunette had been detained on Wednesday for drunken driving and violating a stop and yield sign citation.

At the Broward County Sheriff's Office, Brunette was freed after posting a $5,000 bail.

The charges and arrest's details have been made public, and they are, to put it mildly, rather fascinating.

Andrew Brunette was leaving a bar on his golf cart when police arrested him for DUI.

Brunette's golf cart was illegally parked outside this bar, cops say.

He came out saying he was leaving but was still given a ticket.

Brunette went back in to get his wife. The deputies waited 15 minutes and then saw him drive away under the influence, police say.

These are definitely some interesting details, the NHL or New Jersey Devils have yet to comment on the situation and you must wonder if they will or not. Should this affect his current job in the NHL? Vote in the poll below the article..
