The Goalie position is damn near just as important as the QB position in Football. Sometimes the deciding factor in a game can be a huge save to capture a win. The Goalie position just cannot be overlooked.

This Free Agency period has been outrageous as it is. Not only have big time players been on the move to new homes, but so have a bunch of goaltenders. So, what team snagged the best goalie for the right price- isn't it obvious?
Jack Campbell-Edmonton Oilers
Signed a 5 year- $25 million
One of the biggest holes to fill for Edmonton was the goaltender position. Last Season, starting goalie Mike Smith recorded a 16-9 record in 28 GP. A 2.81 GAA with a .915%. It's not a bad record but just not "Stanley Cup" good. It was clear two must make moves this offseason was to keep Evander Kane and to sign a goalie- they did just that in Jack Campbell.
In the 2021-2022 season, Campbell (30) recorded in 49 GP a record
of 31-9-6 with a .914% and a 2.64 GAA. Just what the Oiler ordered. A great goaltender who has a shot to help this his powered offense contend and take it to the next level.
