The Philadelphia Flyers were back on the ice today for training camp as camps across the NHL officially opened. While there were no COVID-19 positives to report, general manager Chuck Fletcher did give a very important update. Fletcher finally revealed some details to the media about Nolan Patrick's status. Over the last couple of months we've heard everything from he might be forced to retire to he'll be ready for the 2020 Stanley Cup playoffs because of the pause. Well it looks like neither of those at the moment as Fletcher announced Patrick will not participate in the playoffs and focus on the 2020-21 season. "Our focus is on getting him ready for the 2020-21 season. We want to be prudent and prioritize his health and safety in the long run. We have a short run way here before we jump right into playoff hockey."
What do you think of the Flyers decision?
