What the Flyers need at the NHL draft

Since the Flyers season is over, the main focus in the off-season is drafting well and signing/trading what they need.

The Flyers main concern at the draft will be finding a forward that fits their current needs in the offensive zone. The team had a major issue this season with creating in the offensive zone as they were never able to set up, many of their 5 on 5 goals came from entering and scoring right away.

Another issue on offense that the Flyers have is battles along the board in both zones. They need to find forwards that are able to win battles along the board in the defensive zone as well as low in the corners on offense.



The Flyers drafted one forward last year that fits these needs, Matvei Michkov, who also happens to be a great goal scorer, if they are able to draft more players of this quality, they will leave the draft on a positive note.
