Nine-year-old Owen Micciche, a youth hockey player from Upper Black Eddy, PA, will be joining the team for an unforgettable experience. Owen, who wears the number 85, serves as a forward and team captain for the Genesis Hockey Club.
In honor of Hockey Fights Cancer Night presented by Toyota, Owen Micciche will participate in warmups, creating a once-in-a-lifetime moment.
The young player will have his own locker in the Flyers' locker room, take a rookie lap before warmups, and have the privilege of reading the starting lineup. The Flyers encourage fans to arrive by 6:15 PM to show their support for Owen in his fight against cancer.
First diagnosed at just six months old, Owen has shown incredible resilience. Despite facing new tumors in his brain and spine this July, his determination to return to hockey remains unwavering. The Flyers community stands behind Owen as he inspires everyone with his courage and love for the game.
