Flyers have announced they'll be inducting former Flyers forward Mark Recchi into their Hall of Fame on January 27, 2024.

Flyers will induct the former player into the Hall of Fame in a pre-game ceremony before they take on the Boston Bruins.

While with the Club, Recchi snagged the season record for points with 123. He sits sixth in franchise history in assists at 395 and recorded a 1.04 points per-game while wearing a Flyers sweater; behind Bob Clarke(1.06) and Eric Lindros(1.36).

Flyers President of Hockey Ops, Keith Jones, speaking as a former teammate of Recchi's, said "No one deserves this exclusive honor more than him."

Flyers chairman and CEO said "[Recchi's] 10 seasons with the Flyers were very special for our franchise and to the Flyers community as he was part of so many iconic historic moments."

For his part, Recchi said the induction call was "a tremendous honor and one I was not expecting to get. My time in Philadelphia meant a lot, still means a lot, to me and I am very thankful to be the next inductee into the Flyers Hall of Fame."

The last former Flyers inducted into the Flyers Hall of Fame were Paul Holmgren and Rick Tocchet back in 2021.
