Flyers star prospect in outrageous trade rumour from Montreal

All NHL fans know, the offseason will always bring out some of the craziest trade rumors you'll ever hear and some that will just make you shake your head.

Some will be that a trade will happen that a team will move their number one star for another player or two can't comprehend how a person could come up with such a trade rumour.

From the Flyers' perspective, the most recent one is one that came from a Montreal Canadiens site stating that the Canadiens may entertain the idea of moving Cole Caufield, the future star of the Canadiens who could become their number one player to the Flyers for upcoming star Cutter Gauthier along with Carter Hart.




First of all... Um No

Secondly, if a trade of that calibre happened, there would be draft picks involved and more players because a mega deal like that would require enormous talent to move around.

As good as Cole Caulfield is, trading and number-one goaltender who hasn't even hit his peak yet with an upcoming star in Gauthier just doesn't make any sense.

As the summer rolls especially as the NHL Entry Draft comes at the end of June, I expect more trade rumours to come flying at us and B as ridiculous as this one.

The draft will be on June 28th and 29th.
