Hockey Veteran of 20 Years Tragically Dies in Surfing Accident
We regret to inform the hockey community of the passing of Dale Harrop, who tragically passed at the age of 33.
Given that there is yet another sad situation to occur in 2022 that has led in death, the hockey community practically feels cursed this year.
Since he was 15 years old, Dale has been a member of the New Zealand National Ice Hockey team and has represented them for many years.
He tragically lost his life as a result of a surfing accident.
Dale Harrop, member of the New Zealand National Ice Hockey team, has passed away at the age of 33 in a tragic surfing accident.
Harrop had eight goals and 45 points through 71 games played with the New Zealand national team, who he had been representing since 2004 when he was 15 years old.
