INTERESTING TRADE PROPOSAL BETWEEN THE OILERS AND FLYERS

John Tortorella has stated the Flyers are in a rebuild mode, where general manager Chuck Fletcher stated earlier in the off-season that they are going through an ''agressive re-tooling process'', but was clearly a lie.



The two continue to contradict their own statements released, and it causing a true mess with the current state of the organization, thanks to Chuck Fletcher. A Flyers fan pointed out multiple key comments made from the two, which do not align whatsoever.




So what if the Flyers actually rebuild? A rebuild consists of teams trading away their star players who have the most value, for top-end draft picks or/and promising prospects to align the organizations future. Such as the Chicago Blackhawks, who are likely to move on from Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews this summer to take an aggressive approach to their rebuild.

When you think of ''star'' players and the Flyers in the same sentence, the two words do not really align..

A few players that do pop into mind when thinking of the teams most valuable assets are forwards Travis Konecny and Kevin Hayes, who are both currently on pace to have the best years out of their NHL careers.

A social media account by the name of PuckTalkDaily requests and posts the most popular ''mock trades'' weekly, where fans vote on which is the best.

One has recently popped up regarding Travis Konecny to the Edmonton Oilers, it hurts to say, but it seems like lopsided deal leaning towards the Flyers.



The mock trade reads as followed:

Flyers trade away:
-Travis Konecny
-5th round draft pick

Flyers receive:
-Jesse Puljujarvi
-Kailer Yammamoto
-Philip Broberg
-2nd round draft pick



This trade does not exactly indicate a ''rebuild'', as all players involved are nearly around the same age, but if the Flyers wanted to flip a player such as Konecny for assets, where they then would trade away the value received, this is nearly a no-brainer.
