Tough injury news for a Philadelphia Flyers prospect as he's out 4-6 weeks

Flyers prospect J.R. Avon's hopes for a strong camp to make the NHL have been temporarily dashed as he suffered a PCL sprain in his left knee during practice.

Unfortunately, this setback will keep him on the sidelines for the remainder of both rookie and main camp. The good news is that Avon has received clearance for rehab, and the estimated recovery time is approximately 4-6 weeks.

While this is undoubtedly disappointing, the young prospect will be working hard to get back in action as soon as possible.
