Tyson Foerster Reveals Bromance with Joel Farabee

During the summer, Tyson Foerster had the opportunity to shack up with Joel Farabee and Wade Allison. They spent a lot of time together, building relationships off-ice.

With 7 points in eight games with the Philadelphia Flyers, the rookie solidified himself as one of Lehigh Valley's best players.

Tyson Foerster said he learned a lot from Joel Farabee this summer. They spent a lot of time golfing, and Farabee let him crash with him. Wade Allison is also living "in Joel's basement," so it's a full house.

While training in Voorhees, NJ, his confidence will likely be apparent as he pushes for a spot in the NHL.

Farabee taught him a lot this summer about training, eating, and taking care of his body.

«He's thicker,» Laperrière said. «He wants to prove to the organization that he'll do whatever it takes to make the team. And all credit to him, he stayed here all summer, trained like an animal, and it shows.»

As coach Ian Lapierre notes on ice, during rookie camp, his persistence has paid off as he has shown he won't quit and is actively seeking a position on the team.

Foerster is unlikely to play in the AHL after camp, according to Lapierre, since he has improved his skating along with his shot on the perimeter and in front of the net.

«He's got his mind set,» Laperrière said. «I feel like you walk around him, he's confident. He's got that swagger about him that I love, everybody loves. He's probably going to get to the next level and be there for a while.»
