Breaking: Flyer Fan Favorite Announces Retirement
Former Flyer and Fan Favorite Wayne Simmons has announced his official retirement from the NHL. He will sign a one-day contract with the Philadelphia Flyers and Retire on April 13th.
Simmons was a fan favorite from the moment he put on a Flyers Jersey. From his fierce protection of his teammates to his surprising goal scoring ability, the former enforcer was beloved by fans and teammates alike. Simmer will not get his proper send off on April 13th before the Flyers game against the New Jersey Devils, where Simmons also spent a brief amount of time as well.
