The Philadelphia Flyers' forward Travis Konecny just set career high in goals this past season with 33. Now, this offseason, on July 1, 2024, he is eligible for a contract extension.

Travis Konecny is eligible for a contract extension on July 1st.
Now, it will be in the best interest of the Flyers to get the contract extension, competed as soon as possible, as you would not want this distraction going into next season. Also, the amount per year will only go up barring an injury during the season. Konecny is still only 27 years old, so he should have a lot of good years left in him, plus he will still be in his prime when the Flyers' top prospect Matvei Michkov comes over to North America from Russia.
During this past season, we saw the Flyers extend forward Owen Tippett to an 8yr/$49.6mil ($6.2mil/AAV) deal. We should expect Travis Konecny to get a deal north of Tippetts deal. Hopefully, this summer will see Travis Konecny extended and will continue to be a Flyer pass the 2024-2025 season.
