Zachary Wertz, a 9-year-old from Egg Harbor, New Jersey, who received a life-changing liver transplant, will be joining the Philadelphia Flyers in Nashville for the first round of the NHL draft on June 28.

The Flyers have officially extended Wertz's contract as a Make-A-Wish recipient for the 2023 draft, marking the first acquisition by GM Daniel Briere and President of Hockey Ops, Keith Jones.
During their meeting earlier today, the Flyers presented Wertz with an official 2023 draft hat, an oversized ticket, and a gift bag in preparation for his trip to Nashville. At the draft, Wertz will have a unique opportunity to witness the behind-the-scenes experience of the Flyers' newest draftee and enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience in Music City.
