Big turn of events regarding Barry Trotz and the Flyers

Reports at the beginning of the week indicated that the meeting between Barry Trotz and the Philadelphia Flyers would be held today.

However, Elliotte Friedman indicated that Trotz will not meet Chuck Fletcher and the Flyers today. But no panic : it will happen soon, and they will push hard to get him behind the team's bench, which is understandable.

If there's one guy that could give the Flyers a real identity, it's Barry Trotz. He showed numerous time, especially with the New York Islanders. We now shall see what will happen, as multiple teams will push hard to sign him.

Last season, and despite some unfortunate events like the COVID outbreak within his team, the Islanders finished with 37 wins in 82 games. It wasn't enough to make the playoffs, but a 37-35-10 record is still pretty honorable when you take into account what happened.
