Flyers announce update regarding Erik Johnson

Flyers GM Daniel Briere made it known that the team would likely be walking away from older players as they are trying to build a younger lineup for next season.
After these comments, most insiders assumed that defenseman Erik Johnson would not be part of the team next season but it looks like things have changed.The Flyers seem to have interest in having the 38 year-old return for next season.
The Philadelphia Flyers have reportedly expressed an interest in bringing back veteran defenseman Erik Johnson for next season. The news comes from Kevin Kurz of The Athletic who writes that, «The Flyers have not closed the door on the veteran defenseman's return.»
Johnson was acquired by the Flyers at the trade deadline, he put up 3 points in 17 games with the team this season.
