Boston Bruins Makes History: Last Done By The Philadelphia Flyers?

On Tuesday January 24th the Bruins visited Montreal in a rivalry game, the Bruins came in hot having a record of 9-1 in their last 10 games. They would go on to win the game 4-2 and granted them 38 wins on the year and 80 points. In that game they set an NHL record becoming the fastest team to reach 80 points in NHL history, which they did in 47 games.



The previous record holder was the Philadelphia Flyers in 1979-80. It only took the flyers 49 games to hit 80 points that season.
