It's been a remarkable season for the Philadelphia Flyers as many expected this team not to compete for a playoff spot. They have exceeded their expectations and are currently nipping at the heels of the New York Rangers for first in the Metro Division.

One credit to this success has been the evaluation of their rookies. Both Tyson Foerster and Bobby brink have had success during this season and have their highs and lows. Recently, Brink was not performing to where they expect and decided to send him back to the Phantoms.
It is a simple matter of minutes and it would do Brink lots of harm if he was not playing at a normal level especially as he is touted to be one of their top six in the future. It's also important to remember that this team is still in a full rebuild and players like brink could use time in the minors as it would not cost them anything to send him through to LeHigh Valley.
They do not require waivers to head back to the AHL and the Flyers are are trying to get more ice time for their veterans as they may be moved at the trade deadline.
Through 38 games, he had scored seven goals, 11 assists for 18 points and is a + 7.
