Carey Price Does The Ultimate Class-act Gesture For a Cancer Patient

In Montreal, the Canadiens and their fans are still getting over the fact that Carey Price won't ever be between the pipes at the Bell Centre. Price was Nicknamed "Mr Saturday Night" by the Hockey Night in Canada panel for good reason.

However, just because Price's playing days are unfortunately over Price was just as amazing off the ice in the Montreal community. Price would always make time for his fans, so when a Canadiens fan battling Cancer was looking to somehow meet her favorite player, you knew Price would make it happen.

That was the case for a Northern Quebec women named Shirley Wischee. Shirley and her husband Kenneth went to see the doctors due to Shirley having constant headaches. That's when Shirley's world was turned upside down when the Doctor's informed Shirley she has a brain tumor that's causing her problems.

Shirley would share her news on social media along with the wish she had to meet Carey Price. Shirley not knowing if that would happen or not decided to at least try. Shirley's wish was granted Sunday when Price would call her on a video call.


Shirley and Kenneth told CBC News they talked with Price for more then 10 minutes. Price would tell her to "Keep fighting and not give up." This just goes to show what a amazing human being Price is, it was just a video call but to Shirley Wischee Moar this was probably the best moment of her life.
